our designs or as a separate commission.
These can be used either by
the
client to build the design themselves,
or to give to a contractor or gardener,
to ensure the design is built to a suitable standard and accurately
reflects the original design.
A specification is also
useful to give to two or more contractors in order to compare quotations
on a like-for-like
basis,
with no ambiguity and to minimise the risk of unanticipated extra charges
being levied by the contractor.
